Onboarding checklist
You got an offer. Now what?
Work through these steps in order. Each platform's process is a little different, so follow its instructions wherever they differ from ours.
Check the offer is real
Make sure the message comes from the platform's official website or inside your account on it. Be careful with offers that only arrive by chat.
Stop if anyone asks you to pay to get the job or start work. Send us the message before you reply.
Read the agreement
- Find your pay rate, currency and how hours or tasks are counted.
- Check how long the project runs and how it can end.
- Note what you can't share. Many projects are under an NDA, so don't post task details in any group, including ours.
Verify your identity
Upload your documents only inside the platform's official website or its named verification provider. Don't send copies to anyone over chat, and that includes us.
Set up how you get paid
- See which payout methods the platform supports, and confirm one works in Bangladesh before you start work.
- Use an account in your own name that matches your ID.
- Prefer a route that ends in your bank account, so you have a clear record.
Complete any tax form
A US-based platform or its payment provider may ask you for Form W-8BEN, which states that you aren't a US person. Complete it only if they ask, and keep a copy.
Finish the training properly
- Read the project guidelines fully and keep them open while you work.
- Take any assessment seriously. Many projects use it to decide who keeps working.
- Follow the rules on AI tools. Using one where it's banned can get you removed.
Protect your first payment
- Log your hours or tasks from day one, with screenshots if the system allows.
- Check that your first payment matches what you logged.
- Save your contract and payment records for your tax return.
Tell us when you've been hired, even if you found the role yourself. It helps us keep our numbers accurate and send you better matches.
